Upgrades & Version upgrades

easyGUI version numbers consists of three sections, like XX.YY.XX, where XX designates the easyGUI generation, YY designates major version numbers, and finally ZZ designates minor revision numbers. Major releases increments the major version number, or if the changes are universal, the generation number. Bug fix releases increments the minor version number.

In general we release a new major release of easyGUI once or twice a year, containing at lease one major new feature. In the mean time we might release bug fixes, which apart from bug fixing only adds minor improvements and features to the products.

easyGUI customers are always entitled to the newest bug fix release of the version originally purchased and licensed.

Upgrades

In order to upgrade from one easyGUI package type to another (e.g. from easyGUI Monochrome to easyGUI Unicode) an Upgrade must be purchased in our web shop (product codes UGEG?). The upgrade is always delivered as the most current easyGUI version, unless an older version is agreed upon, because of existing target system considerations. If an older version is specifically needed this must be stated in the purchase order.

Version upgrades

In order to upgrade to the most current easyGUI version a Version upgrade must be purchased in our web shop (product code EG-UP). The upgrade doesn't change the type of easyGUI package purchased, i.e. Monochrome, Color, etc., but ensures that the newest easyGUI package is acquired.
